Lol @ Cath, Spider and Blue....
Well...I got good news.....and I'm so proud of myself....but ya know, prayer is SO powerful....image.....it never ceases to amaze me.....
So....I woke up before the crack of dawn.... had breakfast....and let me tell ya, not one muscle in my body was left un-touched from the previous day....heh....
So...I prayed while I was slurping my cereal....looked outside the window after....yup....the snow was there still....and to make matters worse, my water in the bathroom wouldn't come out of the faucets because the pipes had froze....sigh....seriously, this was OMW slamming me....lol
....but...I got dressed. Went through the door leading in the garage and just one look at that pile of huge metal on its side in the garage gave me a flashback of yesterday....
....but I calmly approached it.
I placed the hydraulic lift on the side of it....lifted it up ....(something I obviously had forgotten when I had re-attached the other wheel....duuh)..... so, now with the other wheel re-attached, I knew it wasn't going to fall off.... image ...
As soon as I lifted it, the machine started going a little sideways....ok.... so.... I depressed my hydraulic lift again, and re-started....this time positioning it correctly....
Well, lordy....the machine started lifting right at the pivot point and lifted the whole contraption where the side wheel could now be turned....and where I could straighten out the shaft bar inside image...
....after this....I placed the "washers" (which I had almost forgot....duuh)...and then.... I prayed....lifted the other wheel up.....positioned it right over the exteriour hole, and then it slipped right through that "thing-a-ma-jigum and the sprocket with chain, AND FINALLY the Shaft bar....
*Shan did happy dance...well...in slow motion...heh*
Then I slipped the metal pin through the holes, and the pressure-metal clip....needed a clamp and pliers to twist that thing....
....but get a load of this....after all the work.....as happy as I was, I noticed that that chain was not completely on the sprocket.....oh man.....I bowed my head....and said, "God.....I leave this in your hands now because I'm not going to un-do all this work just to place the chain....at least one wheel will function...."....
....So, feeling just a tad dis-heartened, I put on the back plate, re-inserted the screws....then lifted that machine through sheer adrenalin off the floor, and I wasn't even angry....imagine that, lol....image
I needed to clean that drive-way before the snow would get crusted, because I live in a "wind-tunnel" area....snow gets hardened fast....
I plugged the electrical cord, pushed the ignition button.....it started.... now....here is where the beauty of PRAYER kicks in..... just for a few seconds, the machine wouldn't budge.... I said to myself, "Oh no.....now what"....suddenly, it started to travel....
AND BOTH WHEELS WERE TURNING!!!!
Nobody EVER tell me that God doesn't listen, because that's not true....image
I also cleaned the whole yard, removed the 3 ft. snow bank at the start of the drive-way, which the grader had made....removed the snow around my neighbors car, and cleaned the long sidewalk to the house where no one could go "safely".....it was a big event, because the neighbors had opened up their curtains to watch and they were happy that finally some cleaning was being done.
And the moral of this story?
Yup. I am tenacious. Sometimes, maybe a little too tenacious, but
Tenacity and God go hand-in-hand.
Yup, I believe that.
Love you!
